It took over 100 firefighters more than a hour to put out a 4-alarm fire at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta Tuesday night. The 200,000 square foot facility experienced damage to a few studios, but there are no reported injuries.
Tyler Perry Studios has five sound stages, a post-production facility, a back lot, a 400-seat theater, a private screening room, and designated areas for entertaining and hosting events,” according to his website. President Obama recently attended a fundraiser at the studio on March 16, for his re-election campaign.
The cause of the fire “is under investigation, and several units remain on scene conducting a damage assessment, including salvage and overhaul, ” said the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
Tyler Perry hasn’t made a comment at this time, the fire is under investigation.
For some reason I don’t think this was an accident!
