OK, ladies! We want to hear from you.

After yesterday’s post about soon-to-be former CNN anchormen T.J. Holmes–and more buzz surrounding his multi-platform talent deal with BET–it sparked an incredible, fun brainstorm; and it’s one we think you’re going to take pleasure in.

As a straight shooter, I have to tell you the idea originated when our editor-in-chief commented on how fine Holmes is. (Only someone who is blind in one eye and can’t see out the other could fail to understand the truth in that statement).

She went on to say, “He’s my savvy man of the week!” And, voila! Inspiration.

Starting immediately, The Savvy Sistah will spotlight a “Savvy Man of the Week” with a blurb explaining why he’s earned the title. This is where you, our loyal savvies, come in. Comment, like us on Facebook, tweet us, email us… You get the point. Who is it that makes you swoon like a fanatical teenage girl when you glance at him, and why? Popularity during that week will be our deciding factor.

One last note. When you comment, let us know if you’re married, single, or in a relationship. Just because you drive a Mercedes, doesn’t mean you can’t check out other cars on the showroom floor, right?

Because Holmes is the motivating source behind the idea, it only makes sense to nominate and crown him this week’s “Savvy Man.”

Why he’s hot. 

Besides the obvious (the brotha is sweet eye candy!), he’s become the hottest topic in news, dominating websites, after his announcement on Tuesday that he’s leaving CNN.

What you may not know about him.

He married his college sweetheart, with whom he has a teenage daughter, but the two divorced in 2007.  He’s currently married to an Atlanta-based attorney.

He’s a Southern boy, born and bred in Arkansas, and a University of Arkansas alum.

Why we love him.

He brings “swag” to the newsroom. If you tune in to CNN on the weekends, or have ever seen him in interviews, then most likely you have noticed that he’s as down-to-earth as they come. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, is comfortable in his own skin, and has a great sense of humor… and that’s just sexy!
