One of my good friends made this pizza bread for one of my Liquid Lounge events (my bath & body line) and I had to ask her for the recipe to share. 6HEKDT4SDR46 It’s more like a stuffed pizza and it will make great appetizer for your next girl’s night out.
Bake pizza braid for 12 mins at 425 / Yields 8 slices
- 1 can of pre-made pizza crust ( opitional: pizza crust mix)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 5pcs fried chicken tenders chopped (frozen)
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ cup of pizza sauce
Place crust on a counter top that has been sparkle with all-purpose flour. Prepare an cookie sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to directions on crust pkg., with a sauté pan heat olive oil for 3 mins. Add minced garlic, heat for one minute or until aromatic. Let cool, spread the oil mixture and Italian seasoning over the crust. Set aside. Cook bacon in skillet, drain of fat. Crumble set aside.
Cook chicken tenders according to suggested directions. Shape pizza crust into a elongated oval shape. Cut even number of slits into crust. Leave middle solid. Spread pizza sauce in middle of sauce. Spread cheese on top of sauce and crust. Add chicken tenders and top with bacon. Fold top flap down over first, then criss-cross each flap over each other and finish by folding the bottom flap. Let cool before cutting.
