She is the CEO and Founder of Within Essence Productions, an innovative multidimensional event production firm that specializes in event coordination, lifestyle, fashion and brand management.  After juggling a 9 to 5 and her passion for a while she is now in the position to own just her passion and build her brand globally. What motivated you to become a business owner?

Everything! I always knew I wanted to be my own boss or hold a share of my own. The idea of getting out of my comfort zone and making something out of nothing always entertained me and I can gladly say, made me a better person today for various reasons. Being an entrepreneur isn’t always easy but there are many things you gain, many things you learn and the point of it all is to push every single one of your limits.

What are you keys to success?

You have to be a good student! Observe and absorb and be bold about it. If you want something you shouldn’t hold back  or lack faith in yourself! You have to believe you will get to the finish line. It all starts with a decision! You either choose to run, walk or stand still. My ingredients; Faith Dedication, Perseverance, Consistency, Knowledge and Clarity.

What books are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Power Thoughts by Joyce Meyer and Get Out of Your Own Way by Tyrese Gibson.

What is a savvy sistah to you?

One who knows her worth! One who understands what she deserves! One who is humble and never scared to learn and has a heart to build, nurture and serve others.

What tips do you have for savvy sistah’s?

Positivity is key! Keep your eyes on the prize and be a lifelong learner. Enjoy the process and nurture your growth! Don’t be blinded by your weaknesses or by what others do.

Know your purpose and live your purpose…Grace Mayele a Savvy Sistah!
