‘Someday at Christmas’ Stevie Wonder-vs-Mary J. Blige

When Stevie Wonder first sang ‘Someday at Christmas’ our country was in the midst of the Vietnam War and Civil Rights. There were a lot of tears and pain during that time and he sang about what he hoped to see one day in our country. Fast forward 44 years and although we have a long way to go after 9 years of devastation and tears it’s a blessing to see our troops have left Iraq and are now on American soil just in time for Christmas.

Stevie Wonder and Mary J. Blige tell a story with ‘Someday at Christmas’, and I found just taking a few minutes to close my eyes really helped  me to feel the message of this song.

Who Sang it Best
