Mattel Creates One-of-a-Kind Nicki Minaj Barbie Doll for Charity Auction

Nicki Minaj has truly proven that individuality is what will help one stand out in a crowd. She’s a beautiful lady, with attention getting assets and a passion for wearing rainbow colored wigs and outfits. But that uniqueness is what got the attention of Mattel (creators of Barbie) to create a Nicki Minaj Barbie doll.

Mattel is creating this one-of-a-kind Barbie doll for an auction at CharityBuzz.com to benefit Project Angel Food. The Nicki Minaj Barbie Doll will be featured at the Divine Design’s Gala on Dec. 7th and will be available to receive bids, starting at $1000 until Dec. 19th.

In a statement a Barbie spokeperson comments on the Barbie/Nicki Minaj connection:

“Barbie is obviously a pop culture icon. She’s been in the spotlight for over 50 years, and strikes that chord with girls of all ages in terms of being representative of the times. And Nicki is a big part of pop culture and also huge within the fashion industry, as well as a big Barbie fan. It’s really exciting for us that she’s been so generous to allow us to create this one-of-a-kind doll to support such an important cause.”

 Congrats Nicki!

  1. It has come to my attention that a friend has written wouldn’t it be good if thier was a barbie bald whom had gone through cancer treatment and that barbies has color full head scarfs, after having breast cancer myself last year I think this is a awesome idea, the money also would be raised for charity, i asked the young girls and they loved it,
