America’s favorite physician, Dr. Oz Mehmet, will be the first man to grace the cover of O Magazine.

Oprah told PEOPLE “As we toast to a new year and encourage readers to take the first step toward a happier, healthier life, who better to help us get on the right path than my dear friend…Dr. Oz.”

Though Dr. Oz may be a walking medical encyclopedia, he talks more than just health and wellness. The surgeon-cum-author rates himself a much better doctor and father than he is a husband.

“…I don’t listen well when [my wife] talks.” But he admits she’s his greatest advocate guiding his career in the right directions.
