I have to admit that every time I see the photo of Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone I want to ask…Why? Don’t get me wrong I think she’s a great actress and after “Avatar” her stock in Hollywood went through the roof, but how can we get upset when other races walk around in black face, when it’s done within our own race? If I had to cast this movie I would have selected India Arie! They have similar features and she’s a talented singer & musician just like Ms. Simone!

Zoe is a great actress and I am a fan, but I believe that instead of darkening her skin, giving her a prosthetic nose and an object to give her mouth a protruding affect…they could have just selected someone else.
