This is a very encouraging picture. Everyday I am encouraged as I see our President and First Lady living the life many never believed was possible. This is a very exciting and liberating time for many cultures of people to see and experience this time around the world. Thanks Roshonda for sharing!

No disrespect to you , the Houston family or anyone reading...my question to you is "How Do You Know That She Is In A Better Place?"

Is it because she was a famed entertainer adored by the world? Talented woman who had many gifts? The fact that she sold millions of records globally? or Because she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and savior and knew him in the pardons of her sins?

I have found that when we care about or love someone we hope or wish for the best and often place them in heaven with the father bearing wings of angels but our prayers after their spirit has left the body won't grant them peace nor is it enough to grant them eternal life!

The world is full of GOOD people who may not rob or kill, lie or cheat, commit adultery or fornicate but the bible says “NOT BY WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.(John 14:6)

Just being a good person isn't enough and Although I don't stand in judgement of whether or not Ms. Houston knew the Lord in the way that he requires to receive eternal life and have everlasting peace but I pray for those who are still living and hath ear to hear receive in their hearts Jesus Christ for it is the only way to the father and the kingdom of god!

We must become active disciples ministering the word of GOD as John the Baptist did "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand" (Matthew 3:2) religious rituals will not move the heart or hand of God nor lead sinners to salvation.

Well said Ms. Savvy! Her legacy just brought back so many memories. She was an amazing vocalist and truly a role model for every young girl with a dream. She will forever be missed but I have my personal collection of her music to keep her alive in my heart. "For every win, someone must fail. There comes a point when you will exhale...Shoop." (Waiting to Exhale) Just one of my favs!!!
