The seasons are changing and it’s time for you to pack up your winter wardrobe, prepare for the warm weather and book a tropical getaway to an exotic location. You have visualized yourself for months relaxing on a beautiful beach with miles of white sand, but instantly you snap back to reality after looking at your recent bank statement. Now although you can’t fly away to a tropical locale just yet, that doesn’t mean you can’t shop for the latest tropical trends flying of the racks at Kohl’s.
Recently, I took a trip to Kohl’s with a mission to find the perfect maxi dress with a tropical feel. I walked through the women’s department and came eye to eye with a gorgeous turquoise, black & white maxi dress with a faux-wrap design by Apt. 9 and it was love at first sight. The flowing V-neck floral print & geometric design works well with a variety of heel heights and comes with a matching sash.
Next, I walked to the accessories department to find some fabulous coordinating pieces, but before I made it to the jewelry section I stopped and tried on a chic black straw floppy hat by Croft & Barrow to add a little sophistication to the dress and block out the sun of course.
Finally, I twirled through a few displays of jewelry until I settled on two items to enhance the turquoise color in the dress. The first piece I selected was a gold-tone simulated agate collar necklace by Sonoma life + Style and then a found a cute cuff watch with a turquoise stone in the center.
Flying away to a tropical island may be in the distant future at this time, but don’t despair because you can enjoy tropical trends every day at Kohl’s.
